UTB STUDENTS UP WITH OTHER YOUTH IN CAMPAIGN AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

UTB Students up with other youth in campaign against drug abuse and human trafficking crimes, that campaign was organized by Kicukiro District and National Police, it held at IPRC Kicukiro on Friday 23rd September 2016. In that campaign Mayor of Kicukiro, Command of Police in Kigali and other speakers give the message to the youth on how they can fight against trafficking, making, sell and use of narcotic.

This campaign recall the students of UTB to respect university law; where any student committing the above or other acts which amount to crimes shall be punished by suspension and possible expulsion from the University. In addition, the University shall be at liberty to refer the matter to the law enforcement agencies for legal action.

Furthermore the use of drug is the major source of accidents and other crimes like rape, theft, and other kind of violence in country.
Apart of being a crime to use the drugs or other narcotics, they are also harmful to the life, as the future leaders of our country it is very import to protect the youth against all kind of crimes or anything that can harm their future.
At the end Rwanda National Police has called on the youth to be cautious of people who pose as well-wishers offering them opportunities abroad, noting that such people are likely to be human traffickers.
