UTB 5th GRADUATION CEREMONY

Thursday 9th March 2017 was the day of 5th Graduation of University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies, on this special event in the presence of Chancellor of UTB, Dr. Wim Kouwenhoven has conferred Degrees and Award Diplomas and Certificates to 917 candidates who successfully fulfilled the academic requirements for graduation.

In the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management there were 607 graduates, 255 from the Faculty of Business & Information Technology and 55 of Vocational Training Programs. Among students graduated, 62 % are females.

Vice Chancellor give the message to the graduates for contribute to the development of our country by implementing the skills they acquired in various disciplines including hotel and tourism, business and information technology. And not only seeking the job but be creative and innovative entrepreneurs in order to tackle unemployment. They must play a big role in helping the country to continue the speed of development and contribute a lot in delivering quality services.

The founder and President of the University of Tourism, Technology and Business studies Mrs Mukarubega Zulfat recommends graduates to link the skills with a willing heart and Rwandan values to be able to have successful results most especially by creating jobs and deliver fast and quality services.
Best performers rewarded
The best performing graduates in various faculties were awarded trophies by University and other different opportunities from UTB partners; Rwandair offered two flight tickets to the best performers from IATA and TTM to any destination of Rwandair by their choice. Gorilla Hotel offered the job to the best performer from Hotel and Restaurant management, Nziza Safaris and Wilson Tours offered tours to the best performers in Rwanda national parks, Sulfo offered its products for one year to every best performer from various departments

In the Business & Information Technology, Francine Mukayizere emerged the best student with first class degree.

Liliane Ingabire, who also got first class degree in travel and tourism management class, will be granted Sulfo Industries products for a period of one year, while RwandAir agreed to provide air travel opportunities to the best performers.

UTB gave the awards of recognition to the partners among them there are Nziza Safaris and Wilson Tours companies of UTB graduates.
