The University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB) has signed a Memorandum of understanding with International Youth Fellowship (IYF) stating its approval of IYF’s NGO activities.

IYF was established as a worldwide youth organization and international NGO based on Christian mindset in 2001, to raise leaders with a global insight through youth education, activities, and provide realistic solutions to problems in the global village.

The memorandum was signed by the Vice Chancellor of UTB, Dr KABERA Callixte and the chairman of IYF  and chief Advisor of IYF Rwanda Seong Hun KIM at UTB University Campus Kigali on 9th/11/2017

The University promised the provision of necessary assistance in terms of accommodation, transport and feeding for lecturers from Korea who will be coming to teach students on mind education. IYF promised to dispatch Mind Education specialists for the youth and offer other relevant techniques and expenses.

During the signing, the Vice chancellor Dr Kabera Callixte UTB Vice Chancellor welcomed the initiative saying it will be an opportunity for the University to be pioneering this mind education as it is going to be the first ever to be taught in Rwanda.

“This is going to be an opportunity for our students to incorporate the skills that we give them here at the university with a proper mind education that will boost their co-existence with the society”

Dr Kabera also emphasized the fact that though the university is going to be the first to enroll Mind education in the country, it will be incorporated with lecturers from other universities from Rwanda and the knowledge will trickle down to all Rwandan in due course.

“Before the signing, we had a meeting between our Korean counterparts and members of the association of Universities in Rwanda who discussed on issues regarding the introduction of mind education to all universities In Rwanda” said Dr Kabera Kalixte , UTB Vice Chancellor.

The chairman of IYF and chief Advisor of IYF Rwanda Seong Hun KIM said the arrangement will see many youth from Rwanda interacting with those from Korea.

“Mind education will help shape Rwandan students and improve their skills with a proper mind-set that has a global insight that will help them provide realistic solutions to problems in Rwanda” said Kim the Mind education specialist.
